Ok, so I have a bunch of pics from like 6 months ago waiting to be transformed into a chapter, but I feel like playing so what I’m gonna do is try writing as I play so that this chapter will be ready by the time I get around to typing out the previous chapter. … Yeah. So know that I’ve been back into playing this family longer than it seems because I just don’t feel like writing about stuff I don’t even remember right now (I’m sure I have notes somewhere, I just have to find them!!) Also I tried playing in windowed mode the other day and I freaking love it ok? Dunno why I never tried it but it will make writing as I play pretty easy cause it’s so much faster minimizing the game. Plus I can keep an eye on the time as I play 🙂
ALSO I have a new book obsession and really want to get to the next generation so I can use these names.
ALSO I don’t think I’m gonna keep doing the whole sim info pages cause it’s a lot of work. I think maybe what I’ll do instead is maybe have a page dedicated to the naming themes with more info on each source. That might be cool.
ALSO I spent a bunch of time the other day updating intro pics for the heirs/spouses AND made adorable generational intro pics featuring the couples and playing with poses! Lemme tell you I had too much fun making Cerys & Eli’s. I love that couple. I had so much trouble picking just one pic. I’m going to be updating the chapters page with these new pics.
ALSO I updated the family tree cause it was severely behind. Did I ever even link to it? I dunno I’ll have to check and link it if I hadn’t. **Has been linked to on the home page. I hope I did it right…

Also Cerys got promoted after going to work for the first time in forever. I decided to turn off maternity leave cause it’s super annoying. And Ryan 2.0 (the goldfish) is miraculously still alive!
Cerys wanted to beat the next ranked chess opponent, so we invited Justin Kayes here (also my simself’s husband, as well as the father of Cinder’s two children) to play. It took forever and a half to get the match started because when he got there he walked around to the back of the house, and Cerys had to go all the way to greet him and then get the match started. She RAN back to the front of the house and was up the stairs starting to play, while Justin meandered along with his cane-walk all the way back around the house and up the stairs to the chess table. At least she beat him after all that!
Yay for sibling bonding! Although Nina needs a bath and a bed at the moment.
Justin then went down to cry over JJ’s urn. Uh Justin? You weren’t even alive while he was.
Justin: It’s just so sad when a founder is gone!

Yeah I remember I was planning on stopping at Nina, but now I was like… I want more babies.
Part of it was due to Eli rolling this gem as soon as I opened up the game. I locked it just in case and I was like, you know what? Yes. Which is why I turned off mat leave because Cerys needs to go to work for her LTW 😛

As usual, the family has been invited (Cerys’ siblings and some of their kids. The previous generation is all old and I left them out. There’s too much family in the town to invite everyone! So this is teen Inej! She’s super cute! Because of her good grades, we were able to roll for her new trait. She is now Perceptive, joining her Clumsy, Inappropriate, and Nurturing. That’s not a bad set of traits if I do say so myself!

In fact, since I’m so fond of her, I decided to give her some better hair and a jacket in her favourite colour. I also checked her traits and she’s also childish! And insane! She’s meant for an ISBI! Speaking of insane, next gen, as it’s the 5th, I’ll probably give all the kids that trait (like you’re supposed to all the time, but shhh).

Cerys doesn’t have any wishes that can be fulfilled at the moment, and she’s already guaranteed twins, so I let her do what she wanted. Which was to go play with toys in the nursery.
Also the teens are at prom. So far Kaz has got himself a romantic interest and was denied for a dance, and Inej saw someone wearing the same dress as her.
Eli has been giving Joost A LOT of attention lately. They’re even friends. Which is weird cause he’s not even a dog person or an animal lover. Or even a cat or horse person for that matter. But he gives Joost so much loving ❤
By the end of prom, both Kaz and Inej had gotten into fights and been denied dances, but Inej was crowned prom queen!
Then the babies decided to make their appearance!! How fitting that Cerys was in the nursery.
First up is a girl, who has been named Zoya. She’s a little cutie pie with Cerys’ eyes and … Debbie’s hair? Even though she’s her great-grandmother?
Zoya is named after Zoya Nazyalenski, a sort of mentor type figure to Nina. She’s only mentioned in the first book, but makes a bigger appearance in the second (which I did end up reading and loved as expected! (Although I did love the first one more))
Sim-Zoya had Neat locked in and rolled Disciplined as her second trait. She is a Libra who likes Lobster Thermidor, Latin music, and Irish Green.
The second was a boy, and he is adorable! Another with Eli’s skin!! Except this one isn’t a clone! Also he got the blue eyes that date back to JJ, and again Debbie’s hair somehow? I didn’t think sims inherited from their great-grandparents. … Unless Cress had it and her hairstyle just faded it? Actually I feel like that might have been it but I’ll have to double check that.
Anyway, Wylan is named after Wylan Van Eck, the sweetest of the bunch!
Sim-Wylan locked in Workaholic and rolled Great Kisser. He is a Cancer who likes Cerviche, Chinese music, and the colour Purple.

I did use MC to get rid of Cerys’ mat leave days, so she is going to work today. I thought I was going to have to lose points to get a babysitter, but Kaz once again didn’t go to school. I saw it queued, so it must have just dropped at some point. Eli did go to work on his own though.
He just went off to read while the twins kept themselves occupied. Wylan is eating dolls while Zoya is impaling herself with the block toy. Such special children.

K so I checked her traits, and she has simBot as one. That must be leftover from my old mod to allow all traits to be given to all ages that also had hidden traits. I’ve since downloaded a new one that does not include hidden traits, so I’m just gonna fix her up real quick.
It’s Nina’s birthday! She’s going to pass out but I don’t really care 😛 For some reason she kept complaining she couldn’t get to the cake (even though no one else ever had any problems) so I’ve temporarily moved a counter forward.

Everyone is a little too preoccupied to care about her birthday. On the bright side, Cerys is starting to get the fire under control. It’s taking literal sim-hours. This started as soon as Nina got home from school around 3:30/4 and it is now 9.

Because she got such good grades (like that absolves you from what you’ve done tonight, devil child) we were able to roll her trait. She’s now never nude. A useless trait for a useless devil child.
Meanwhile, the twins are slowly starving to death because it’s taking so long for the fire to go out. It’s now after 10.
Then to add to the chaos the university mascot decided NOW was the GREATEST time to recruit some sims. At 11pm in the MIDDLE OF A GIANT HOUSE FIRE!

It is now 1 am. The fire has been put out finally, Inej has fainted in the absence of the adrenaline rush (-5), the twins are still starving and Wylan is both on the verge of passing out and in desperate need of attention.

While everyone starts mourning and Grim starts his thing, I had Cerys cure herself and go take care of the twins. I don’t want a social worker visit on top of everything else!!!

You know what? I think I’m gonna end it there. It’s almost 7 am (sim-time), it’s a new day, the fire is out, we had a couple of near-death experiences and a REAL death experience, I managed to avoid a social worker and the twins are sleeping soundly, and I think I’ll leave any other point loss for next time.
Also I need Nina to come out and haunt so I can save her to the bin. Cause I don’t save them until they’re adults but I can’t do that cause she FRICKING DIED!
I haven’t played much past this but I probably will get more play time in tomorrow evening. We’ll see. I need to go to bed.
